COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Curtis E. Kissinger of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) to serve as a judge on the Hamilton County Municipal Court, District 4.
Kissinger will assume office on February 9, 2015, and must run in November 2015 to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends January 2, 2018. Kissinger is replacing Judge Russell J. Mock, who has been elected to the First District Court of Appeals.
Kissinger received his bachelor of arts from the University of Cincinnati and his juris doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law. Previous experience includes work with Rendigs, Fry, Kiely & Dennis, LLC, serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati and serving as the court administrator for the Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
He is a member of the Ohio and Cincinnati Bar Associations and is a member of the Hamilton County Ethics Commission. He is also a member of the Cincinnati Citizens Police Association.
