COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Andrew G. Hyde of Lakeville (Holmes Co.) to serve as a judge on the Holmes County Municipal Court. Hyde will assume office on November 18, 2016 and must run in the November 2017 election to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2019. Hyde is replacing Judge Jane Irving-Baserman, who passed away.
Hyde received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his juris doctorate from Lewis and Clark College. Hyde has been a trial attorney and counselor of law for a private practice since 1994. He was previously the Acting Assistant Law Director for the City of Ashland Law Director’s Office.
Hyde is a member of the Ashland County Bar Association, Homes County Bar Association, and Ohio State Bar Association. He is also the President of the Board of the Anazao Community Partners.
