New Projects Expected to Create More than $477 Million in Investments

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 15 projects set to create 2,338 new jobs and retain 1,857 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $107 million in new payroll, and spur more than $477 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

NORTHEAST

SkyBox Packaging LLC, City of Mansfield (Richland Co.) expects to create 28 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Mansfield (Richland Co.). SkyBox Packaging manufactures corrugated packaging and distributes packaging supplies. The TCA approved a 1.192 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Venture Products, Inc., City of Orrville (Wayne Co.) expects to create 121 full-time positions, generating $6.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $10.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Orrville (Wayne Co.). Venture Products designs and manufactures tractor equipment. The TCA approved a 1.526 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Vox Mobile, Inc., City of Independence (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 80 full-time positions, generating $3.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $7.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Independence (Cuyahoga Co.). Vox Mobile provides mobility software and support services. The TCA approved a 1.345 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

NORTHWEST

Bio-Systems of Ohio LLC, City of Bowling Green (Wood Co.) expects to create 31 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Bowling Green (Wood Co.). Bio-Systems provides live bacterial cultures for a variety of cleaning applications, as well as industrial, municipal, and agricultural waste water systems. The TCA approved a 1.322 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

MEK Van Wert, Inc., City of Van Wert (Van Wert Co.) expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $1.3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Van Wert (Van Wert Co.). MEK manufactures machined parts, and provides engineering expertise. The TCA approved a 1.245 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Treves Incorporated, City of Fostoria (Seneca Co.) expects to create 91 full-time positions, generating $3.4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Fostoria (Seneca Co.). Treves designs acoustic treatments and interiors for the automotive industry. The TCA approved a 1.186 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

WEST

Pratt Paper (OH), LLC, City of Wapakoneta (Auglaize Co.) expects to create 300 full-time positions, generating $14.4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Wapakoneta (Auglaize Co.). Pratt Paper provides corrugated packaging. The TCA approved a 1.263 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

CENTRAL

Cintas Corporation No. 2, City of Groveport (Franklin Co.) expects to create 69 full-time positions, generating $2.3 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Groveport (Franklin Co.). Cintas supplies corporate identity uniform programs, providing entrance mats, restroom supplies, tile and carpet cleaning, first aid, safety, and fire protection products. The TCA approved a 1.09 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Owens & Minor Distribution, Inc., Village of Obetz (Franklin Co.) expects to create 55 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the Village of Obetz (Franklin Co.). Owens & Minor Distribution provides healthcare solutions including distribution, transportation, inventory management and data analysis. The TCA approved a 1.15 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

PharmaForce, Inc., Cities of Hilliard and New Albany (Franklin Co.) expects to create 78 full-time positions, generating $3.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $15.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the Cities of Hilliard and New Albany (Franklin Co.). PharmaForce provides pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development. The TCA approved a 1.202 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

SOUTHWEST

Deceuninck North America, LLC, City of Monroe (Butler Co.) expects to create 85 full-time positions, generating $4.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $22.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Monroe (Butler Co.). Deceuninck North America produces energy-efficient vinyl window and door systems, and composite applications for the building and construction industry. The TCA approved a 1.35 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

LISNR, Inc., City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 80 full-time positions, generating $5.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s redevelopment project in the City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.). LISNR provides device connectivity using inaudible sound to transmit information. The TCA approved a 1.7 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

London Computer Systems, Inc., Deerfield Township (Warren Co.) expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $9 million in new annual payroll and retaining $10.5 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Deerfield Township (Warren Co.). London Computer Systems provides business software technology. The TCA approved a 1.537 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

TO BE DETERMINED

Dedienne Aerospace, LLC, (Location TBD) expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in a to-be-determined location. Dedienne Aerospace provides aircraft tooling, engine tooling, and ground support equipment for the civilian and defense markets. The company also provides repair and calibration services, as well as engineering expertise. The TCA approved a 1.433 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Ensemble HP, LLC, (Location TBD) expects to create 1,100 full-time positions, generating $47.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $26.2 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s acquisition project in a to-be-determined location. Ensemble HP provides revenue consulting and solutions to hospitals and health systems. The TCA approved a 2.31 percent, 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
