COLUMBUS – Gov. John R. Kasich today announced that his office will accept applications through December 29th from attorneys who would like to be considered for appointment to the Supreme Court of Ohio to replace Associate Justice William O’Neill, who announced that he will resign on Jan. 26, 2018. The application and additional information can be found at http://governor.ohio.gov/supremecourt.
Kasich and his staff will evaluate applicants with input from a screening committee of legal professionals. Finalists will be interviewed soon after the turn of the year.
Kasich used the same process in 2012 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Associate Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton.
