COLUMBUS – Today, Beverly Laubert was sworn in as acting director of the Ohio Department of Aging by Governor John R. Kasich. Laubert, who has served as the department’s long-term care ombudsman, replaces Stephanie Loucka who recently announced that she is leaving to pursue new opportunities outside the administration.
Beverley Laubert has served in the Ohio Department of Aging for more than 20 years. As long-term care ombudsman, she has worked tirelessly as an advocate of Ohio’s long-term care consumers. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from Kent State University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy & Management from the Ohio State University. Beverley served for four years as president of the National Association of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs.
