Kasich Announces Appointment to Monroe County Court April 3, 2015 COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Clifford N. Sickler of Lewisville (Monroe Co.) to serve as a judge on the Monroe County Court. Sickler will assume office on April 13, 2015, and must run in the November 2016 general election to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2018. Sickler is replacing Judge James Peters, who has been elected to the Monroe County Court of Commons Pleas, Probate and Juvenile Division. Sickler received his bachelor of arts degree from Kent State University and his juris doctorate from the University of Akron. His experience includes service as the Noble County Assistant Prosecutor, Noble County Prosecutor and judge on the Monroe County Probate and Juvenile Court. He is a deacon at Calais Church and served as a councilman for the Batesville Village.
