Statewide Investments to Create $40 Million in New Payroll

COLUMBUS – Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 10 projects set to create 886 new jobs and retain 685 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $40 million in new payroll, and spur more than $38 million in investments across Ohio.

Projects approved by the TCA include:

CENTRAL

GB Food Inc., City of Heath (Licking Co.) expects to create 29 full-time positions, generating $1.2 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Heath (Licking Co.). GB Food supplies protein ingredients for cereal and protein bar manufacturers. The TCA approved a 1.107 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Infoverity, LLC, City of Dublin (Franklin Co.) expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $3.2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $2.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Dublin (Franklin Co.). Infoverity provides business solutions for data management. The TCA approved a 1.614 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Medical Staffing Options, LLC, City of Columbus (Franklin Co.) expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $2.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Medical Staffing Options provides job placement services for nurses and other healthcare professionals. The TCA approved a 1.356 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

NORTHEAST

Gorbett Enterprises of Solon, Inc. (Great Lakes Cold Storage), City of Solon (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 68 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $5.3 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Solon (Cuyahoga Co.). Great Lakes Cold Storage provides cold food storage and distribution for grocery chains and restaurants. The TCA approved a 0.959 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Dwellworks, LLC, City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga Co.) expects to create 41 full-time positions, generating $1.6 million in new annual payroll and retaining $7.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga Co.). Dwellworks provides business to business services for the corporate mobility and relocation industry. The TCA approved a 1.588 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Piping Rock Health Products, LLC, City of Aurora (Portage Co.) expects to create 346 full-time positions, generating $12 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Aurora (Portage Co.). Piping Rock Health Products manufactures and distributes natural products including nutritional supplements, vitamins, essential oils, and cosmetics. The TCA approved a 1.451 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

SOUTHWEST

Federal Equipment Company, City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $5.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.). Federal Equipment Company is an engineering firm which supplies specialized military replacement parts for conveyors, elevators, dumbwaiters, and helicopter hangars for the U.S. Navy. The TCA approved a 1.398 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

NORTHWEST

Tronair, Inc., City of Swanton (Lucas Co.) expects to create 110 full-time positions, generating $7.2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $6.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Swanton (Lucas Co.). Tronair designs and manufactures ground support equipment for aircraft. The TCA approved a 1.715 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

WEST

NDC Technologies, Inc., City of Huber Heights (Montgomery Co.) expects to create 42 full-time positions, generating $3.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $5.6 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s consolidation project in the City of Huber Heights (Montgomery Co.). NDC Technologies designs and manufactures process measurement and control instrumentation for various manufacturing industries. The TCA approved a 1.667 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

 

LOCATION TBD

ProLink Staffing Services, LLC (Location TBD) expects to create 90 full-time positions, generating $4.8 million in new annual payroll and retaining $5.4 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in a to-be-determined location. ProLink Staffing Services provides staffing and recruiting services, including sourcing, screening, and selection. The TCA approved a 1.486 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
