Have you considered applying to serve on one of Ohio’s boards or commissions?
Women comprise more than half of our world's population, lead businesses, organize communities, hold together families and serve as role models in all walks of life. Governmental polices affect women as much as any Ohioans, but despite their overall numbers, women comprise only about one third of applicants and appointments to Ohio's boards and commissions.
Gov. Ted Strickland and his administration want that to change. By serving on boards or commissions, Ohio women have the opportunity to fulfill a wide variety of interests, ranging anywhere from the State Board of Pharmacy to the Ohio Arts Council.
