Kasich Announces Appointment to Conneaut Municipal Court

COLUMBUS - Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the appointment of Carl L. DiFranco of Conneaut (Ashtabula Co.) to serve as a judge on the Conneaut Municipal Court. DiFranco will assume office on April 6, 2015, and must run in the November 2015 general election to retain the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends December 31, 2019. DiFranco is replacing Judge Thomas E. Harris, who has been elected to the Ashtabula County Court of Common Pleas, General and Domestic Relations Divisions.

DiFranco received his bachelor of arts degree from Purdue University and his juris doctorate from Pennsylvania State University. His experience includes service as an acting judge for Painesville Municipal Court and work with Cannon, Aveni & Malchesky Co., L.P.A.

He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association's Family Law Committee.

DiFranco has served as a youth sports coach and participates in legal aid volunteer work.
